On 26 November 2025, EHI held a constructive meeting with the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Nairobi (KBRI Nairobi) to explore potential collaboration in vaccine development and the expansion of Indonesian vaccine access in African markets, with a particular focus on Kenya. For EHI, this engagement marks an important step toward aligning Indonesia’s scientific capabilities with regional health priorities in Africa.
During the discussion, EHI conveyed its interest in advancing basic research, seed vaccine development, and collaborative initiatives with research hubs across the Kenyan region. These efforts reflect EHI’s commitment to fostering cross-regional scientific partnerships and strengthening sustainable vaccine innovation ecosystems that can address shared public health challenges. KBRI Nairobi welcomed EHI’s initiative as part of broader efforts to enhance Indonesia’s contribution to improving health access in Africa.
Looking ahead, KBRI Nairobi reaffirmed its readiness to facilitate ongoing communication and follow-up actions to further develop the cooperation opportunities discussed. EHI values this support and remains committed to translating dialogue into meaningful collaborations that accelerates vaccine research, development, and equitable access, while reinforcing Indonesia’s role as a trusted partner in global health. With this movement, EHI believes that Indonesia can play a significant role in advancing global health through science-driven and collaborative initiatives.
