In the effort to build our vaccine capacity, our researcher from EHI, Ida Yus Sriyani, was proudly chosen by the International Vaccine Institute (IVI) to participate in the 2024 hands-on training for the upstream process in cell-based vaccine manufacturing organized by the Global Training Hub for Biomanufacturing (GTH-B) in Seoul & Andong, Republic of Korea, from November 7 to December 6, 2024.
GTH-B is a hub established and mandated by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MoHW) of the Republic of Korea to assist in building the biomanufacturing capacity in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs), and the 2024 hands-on training for upstream process in cell-based vaccine manufacturing is particularly created to equip participants representing the biomanufacturing workforce from LMICs with the essential skills required to operate according to current good practices.

Her participation in this course highlighted EHI’s commitment and dedication to increasing our vaccine capacity by acquiring multiple vaccine makers’ perspectives, which could bridge the development between the laboratory and biomanufacturer settings.
