Global health developments are increasingly moving toward a more preventative and predictive approach, where research-based innovation is key to addressing future health challenges. Recognizing the crucial role of research in driving this transformation, the Prodia Education and Research Institute (PERI) presents the Prodia Science Award 2026, a scientific awards event held for the first time to recognize the contributions of researchers, lecturers, and clinicians in Indonesia in developing innovation in the biomedical field. Themed “Biomedical Innovation for Precision Health,” the award emphasizes the importance of predicting future health risks by leveraging technological developments such as biomarker analysis, big data, and artificial intelligence.
The culmination of the 2026 Prodia Science Award was held on Friday, May 9, 2026, at Prodia Tower in Central Jakarta and was attended by deans of medical faculties, academics, researchers, clinicians, and management from Prodia, Prodia Group, and PERI. The event opened with remarks from the Chairman of the PERI Board of Directors, Endang Hoyaranda, who emphasized the transformation of the Research Grant program into the Prodia Science Award as a form of appreciation for research that has a real impact on society. During the event, Dr. Andi Wijaya, MBA, Founder and President Commissioner of Prodia, and Chairman of PERI, also shared Prodia’s journey over more than five decades in keeping pace with developments in health science and technology. The event also featured keynote speaker Dewi Muliaty, who presented on the development of the biomedical industry and the importance of research-based innovation in building a more precise and sustainable future healthcare system.
As a key part of the 2026 Prodia Science Award series, three winners from various institutions in Indonesia were announced, having gone through a rigorous selection and judging process. The winners presented their biomedical research innovations, which they deemed to have the potential for real implementation in supporting the development of healthcare services in Indonesia. Besides recognizing research talent, the 2026 Prodia Science Award is also expected to foster collaboration and the exchange of ideas among academics, researchers, and healthcare practitioners. Thus, EHI is proud to announce that our Chief Scientific Officer and Research Fellow, Benediktus Yohan Arman, has received this prestigious award for his dedication to advancing biomedical research. EHI believes that this achievement marks an important milestone in his scientific journey and hopes that his accomplishment will continue to inspire impactful research, foster future collaborations, and contribute meaningfully to the advancement of healthcare and biomedical science in Indonesia.
