On 30 January 2025, EHI hosted an audience and discussion session with the head of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) as part of an effort to strengthen EHI’s collaboration network within the national research and innovation ecosystem. This meeting acts as an opportunity for EHI and BRIN to bring forward issues, share perspectives, and explore synergy potentials between public and private research organizations.
In this meeting, EHI introduced the company’s vision, history, and contributions in facilitating research progress, especially in the health and biomedical sectors. The discussion also highlighted the importance of a collaborative, interdisciplinary, and adaptive approach in answering the present research challenges, which grow more complex and multifaceted. Furthermore, the audience underlined the role of private-sector research organizations as a factor in the dynamic research ecosystem, particularly in advancing science-based innovations, honing young generations of researchers, and developing relevant frontiers nationally and internationally. This exchange of views also covered the importance of research facilities collaboration, expertise & knowledge sharing, along with the distribution of capacity building.
Through this meeting, EHI strengthened its commitment to constructive contributions in the national research ecosystem, while emphasizing collaboration, scientific integrity, and everlasting impact. Moving forward, EHI hopes that continued dialogue and collaborations between institutions can keep expanding to foster innovations useful for the public.
