The rising prevalence of arboviruses, including dengue, chikungunya, and Zika viruses, has become a growing public health concern, particularly in Asia, where nearly 70% of global dengue cases occur. To address these challenges, a webinar titled “Arbovirus Findings in Asia-Pacific: A Taste of Things to Come” was held on February 18, 2025, bringing together 204 participants from various countries and sectors. The webinar discussed the impact of climate change, cross-border mobility, and rapid urbanization on the spread of these viruses.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Representing Exeins Health Initiative (EHI) at the event, Fiqry Hasan Kleib presented his study, “Detection of Emerging Arboviruses in Indonesia: A Scoping Review.” His presentation highlighted the current landscape of arbovirus surveillance in Indonesia, challenges in early detection, and specific areas requiring increased national and regional capacity. A poll conducted at the penultimate of the webinar revealed that vector surveillance, detection expertise, and policy development in a region are among the most urgent needs for effective arbovirus control.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Beyond sharing scientific insights, the webinar also served as a valuable platform for EHI to expand its network with international collaborators and potential sponsors. As climate change and urbanization continue to drive the spread of arboviruses, cross-sector collaboration remains crucial in strengthening surveillance and response efforts.
