The implementation and use of next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology in infectious diseases and public health marks an important step forward in strengthening Indonesia\u2019s health resilience. Key institutions, ranging from national reference labs, regional public health labs, and leading hospitals and research services across Indonesia, are now sharing their experiences in integrating genomics into early disease detection, surveillance, and data-driven decision-making in our country\u2019s public health policies.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The EHI team took part in conferencing and sharing our knowledge at the 2025 Illumina Genomics Summit, themed “Harnessing Genomics for Infectious Disease Surveillance and Public Health.” Held on April 24, 2025, at The Westin Hotel in Jakarta, the summit gathered public health experts, researchers, and policymakers to explore the practical impact of genomics on public health systems.\u00a0 EHI believes that the adoption of NGS in managing infectious diseases not only enhances the efficiency of outbreak response but also plays a critical role in shaping robust genomic surveillance systems that support stronger national health policies in Indonesia.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
