The Maluku Province, with its vast and scattered islands, faces unique challenges in social, economic, educational, and public health systems. The Faculty of Medicine at Pattimura University plays a key role in addressing these challenges through its focus on island medicine. Held by the university, the International Conference of Health and Medicine supported efforts to increase research and innovation in island health. As part of the event, Fahira Ainun Nisa, shared her research on comparing molecular tools used to detect zoonotic malaria and evaluating the potential of two compounds to reduce brain inflammation in a mouse model of cerebral malaria. Other speakers also addressed topics like antimicrobial resistance, malaria elimination, and the use of traditional medicine, showcasing a comprehensive approach to island health development. By working closely with local institutions, government agencies, and international partners, EHI continues to help build a more resilient and equitable health system across Indonesia\u2019s vast archipelago.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
