The IUIS\u2013Pasteur Network Immuno-Cambodia Course 2025, themed \u201cImmune Responses to Arbovirus Infections from a One Health Perspective,\u201d was held on 24\u201329 November 2025 in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Organized by Immunopaedia, the International Union of Immunological Societies (IUIS), and Institut Pasteur du Cambodge, the program aimed to strengthen global knowledge, skills, and collaboration in immunology, especially in understanding immune responses to arbovirus infections, such as dengue and chikungunya. Representatives from EHI, Bunga Rana and Yora Permata Dewi, were selected through a competitive process to join this international training.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The course brought together 35 participants from 19 countries, supported by 17 expert mentors in various fields of arbovirus immunology. Over six days, attendees engaged in 14 course sessions covering virology, immunology, vector biology, vaccine development, One Health approaches, and factors influencing disease severity. The program also included poster presentations, a grant-writing workshop, sessions on equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), and an excursion to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Angkor Wat. Both EHI researchers presented their scientific posters, contributing to international discussions on dengue and chikungunya research, with Yora\u2019s group earning second place in the grant proposal competition.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Ahead of the in-person course, all participants completed online pre-course modules to ensure a strong foundational understanding of immune responses, vaccine immunology, and arbovirus biology. By participating in this program, EHI strengthened its scientific visibility and expanded its global network. The insights and experiences gained are expected to support EHI\u2019s ongoing work in arbovirus research and contribute to national and regional efforts to improve preparedness and response to vector-borne diseases.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
