The threat of dengue to public health has been significantly pronounced in the last few decades. This prompted the World Health Organization to name it as one of the ten threats to global health in 2019, highlighting the importance of knowledge and technological advancement regarding Dengue prevention, control, surveillance, and vaccine/therapeutics.
To actively engage in this effort, a team of EHI scientists consisting of Marsha S. Santoso, Dionisius Denis, Mercy E. Adiniko, and Bunga Rana, participated and shared their studies on dengue surveillance and dengue control and diagnostics in the 7th Asia Dengue Summit 2024 on 5-7 June 2024 at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

In this annual forum, policymakers, researchers, and industries from all around Asia could share, discuss, and collaborate to achieve zero dengue deaths, which demonstrates EHI’s commitment to standing at the forefront of infectious disease research.
