On 11 June 2026, EHI Commissioner Marcelino Pandin delivered the opening keynote address at the Festival of Digital Innovation in BSD City, held under the theme “Innovation at the Core of Every Secure Digital Journey.” The event brought together government representatives, technology leaders, businesses, and innovators to discuss how digital technologies can drive economic growth while ensuring security, resilience, and public benefit. EHI’s participation reflected its commitment to advancing science and innovation that improve health outcomes and support sustainable development.
In his keynote, Commissioner Pandin emphasized that innovation and trade are increasingly interconnected, with ideas, talent, capital, and technology moving across borders at unprecedented speed. He highlighted EHI’s vision that AI-powered diagnostics and medical breakthroughs should be shared globally and deployed more rapidly than emerging diseases. He also stressed that technological innovation must remain accessible to everyone, including poor and vulnerable communities, so that advances in healthcare contribute to equity, resilience, and inclusive progress.
