In a continuous effort to support the advancement of healthcare services, EHI hosted a specialized technical training workshop for Banda Aceh Public Health Laboratory (BLKM Banda Aceh) staff. The three-day program, held from October 15-17, 2024, at EHI’s laboratory, was designed to enhance the laboratory staff’s ability to identify pathogens, focusing on the dengue virus as a case study.
The program was well-received by the two staff members from BLKM Banda Aceh who participated in the training. The training aimed to provide participants with essential knowledge about viral infections, specifically Dengue, and the latest techniques for pathogen identification. The sessions covered the fundamentals of viral dynamics, the pathogenesis of Dengue, and effective strategies for detecting the virus. The program combined theoretical learning with practical laboratory observation, allowing participants to see firsthand how these techniques are applied in real-world scenarios.

Through initiatives like this, EHI continues to play a vital role in advancing healthcare practices across Indonesia, supporting the country’s ongoing efforts to improve public health and disease detection systems. By sharing expertise in biomolecular and laboratory techniques, EHI hopes to help improve the quality of health services provided by local laboratories.
